IN PERSON CLASSES
We run 9 different in person classes so you’ve got lots to choose from! These are suitable for all levels of ability so whether you’re new to Indian cooking or you’d like to build on your skills, there’s lots to learn. Each class is unique, so depending on which one you choose, you’ll go away mastering how to use spices for depth of flavour, cooking perfect rice forever after, turning your crispiest dosa ever, making the best biryani or learning the secrets of how to cook fluffy naans in your own kitchen! These are group, hands on classes so you will be able to participate in building a feast to enjoy.
Monisha will meet you outside Hounslow West tube station, just 35 minutes from Central London (on the Piccadilly Line), at the class start time.
You’ll begin with a short trip to the Indian shop to learn about ingredients such as the many varieties of lentils (did you know that one pulse can give you three different ingredients to cook with?) and spices (such as the difference between fenugreek leaves and fenugreek seeds), and take in the smells and sounds of London’s Indian precinct. Buying the freshest ingredients is key to getting your flavours just right! You’ll then walk to Monisha’s kitchen, just 2 minutes away, to cook a fabulous feast.
We run half day (10.30am-1.30pm) as well as full day classes (10.30am-3.30pm). At the full day class, we take a break halfway, to sample some of the dishes we have prepared. You can take home some of the food we have prepared during the day.
