Monisha has contributed to several magazines and newspapers such as Elle, Delicious, Olive, The Mail on Sunday and the Sunday Telegraph.
She has cooked on TV for Great Food Live and Bites on UK Food and for the South African Broadcasting Channel (SABC). She has been a judge on Iron Chef America (The Food Network, USA) and cooked for ‘Chef on a Shoestring’ (CBS Network, USA). She has also done the BBC’s ‘Food and Drink’ show, ITV1’s ‘The World’s Best Diet’ and Sky One’s ‘Fat Families’. Monisha has been on ‘Inside the Factory’ with Cherry Healey, ‘The Secret Genius of Modern Life’ with Dr Hannah Fry and on German TV ZDF, talking about the history of Indian food in London.
Chef Monisha has also been on various radio programmes in the UK and the US. She is regularly invited on BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Food Programme’ discussing topics such as ‘Bitterness’ and ‘Turmeric’.
In 2017, she was brand ambassador for a major UK brand, Veetee Rice and created 15 unique recipes that were filmed for Sony TV.
Monisha works with several partners each year- in 2017, she ran an Indian Food Writing workshop for the New York Times Student Journeys program and created a food history lecture on ‘How The British Fell in Love With Curry’ for the British Council.

Chef Monisha Bharadwaj is an award winning author, food historian and a food writer based in London, UK. She was awarded ‘Cookery Writer of the Year’ in 2003 by the Guild of Food Writers and her many books have been shortlisted for and won several prestigious international awards.
